Who we are
Socket Yard is a small, independent Canadian page for DIY wrenchers and pros. We share mechanic tools, auto parts and garage gear: hand tools and sockets, impact and power tools, OBD2 scanners and diagnostics, jacks and jack stands, car care, and garage storage and lighting. We post short videos on social media, and this page collects every item from those posts so you can find it again in one tap.
How we pick products
- It has a real job in the garage: we say what it's for and who it suits, from driveway DIY to the pro bay.
- We give the fit checks: drive size, metric or SAE, torque range, battery platform and vehicle compatibility, all "per the listing".
- Auto parts: always confirm fit for your exact year, make, model and engine (and your VIN where the store offers it) before you buy.
- We check the listing (photos, specs, description and buyer feedback on the store) before we share it.
- It's well reviewed by buyers: we only list items rated 4.5★ or higher with 100+ reviews on the store. Each card shows that rating, the review count and the date we checked it, with a link to read the reviews yourself.
- No tool-brand logos or slogans in our branding, and we don't knock other brands or mechanics.
Safety: support the vehicle on rated jack stands on solid, level ground; never work under a car held up by a jack alone. Wear eye protection, follow the tool maker's instructions and your vehicle's service manual, and when in doubt, see a licensed mechanic.
We research products from their store listings and buyer reviews. We don't claim to have tested, used or own them, and the star ratings are the store's buyer ratings, not ours.
